If you are travelling without a car or a motorbike there are a few ways to get to Allihies.

Transport to Allihies

Cycling from Kenmare or Bantry would be a nice tour for an average cyclist. Count a full day of effort but spectacular views from either place.

Walking if you are walking the Beara there a numerous places to stay along the way.

Private Bus every day of the week at 6PM there is a private bus coming from Cork city to Castletown bere which is 17KM from Allihies. Try Harringtons on 027 74003. Seats must be booked in advance
